Community Malioboro launched ( soft launhed ) a new program to add insight and knowledge of members of the community, this new program is "walking library program" . Implementation the soft launch was done with celebration of 55th anniversarry of Yogyakarta Mayor Herry Zudianto.

Mayor of Yogyakarta Herry Zudianto welcomed the launch of this current library and current library named with the name "Mlethik" which means intelligent . On this occasion Herry Zudianto donate 5 of his books and RP 1 million in cash.
"I welcome this good idea and I gave the name of this library 'Mlethik" which means smart, intelligent people are often identified with people who 'Mlethik" said Herry Zudianto on Wednesday 31 march 2010.

Herry Zudianto adding the launch of this current library harmony with local goverment program that promote the library in the middle, especially in the enviromental area neighborhood as the implementation of the program "Educations for All" .

The library program running is intended to suplement greeted the reading interest in Malioboro street and traders to develop the power of thought. Is also expected to bring change to the piety and prosperity of the mercgants.

Techically, the program walking library will be held on every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday at 11.00 until 15 o'clock, because at times the normally quiet Malioboro existing visitors and time can be used to read. Two hawkers will bring variety of books titles and distributed them to the traders to borrow. In order to atract readers, the boards makes a unique groundbreaking where each readers / borrower will get the point that on one day will be drawn by lot and get a door prize Gift .
